Powerful Tools for Family Caregivers: What is it? How do I register?

Taking Care of You: Powerful Tools for Caregiving is an educational program designed to help family caregivers (no professional caregivers, please). This program will help you take care of yourself while caring for an older relative or friend. You will benefit from this class whether you are helping a parent, spouse, friend, someone who lives at home, in a nursing home, or across the country.

This class will give YOU, the family caregiver, tools to:

  • Help you reduce stress
  • Communicate effectively with family members, medical professionals, and paid help
  • Take care of yourself
  • Reduce guilt, anger, & depression
  • Help you relax
  • Make tough decisions
  • Set goals and problem-solve

Please note that this class will NOT focus on the disease process.

The program is a six-week series that meets for two and a half hours each week.  Class size is limited.

This program is sponsored by Rogue Valley Council of Governments

Classes are offered twice per year.  To reserve your seat in the next class, please call Sandy Divine @ 541-471-3853
